1. Seeing Korea Through Foreign Eyes
There are countless beautiful details and hidden stories in Korea—even for those who’ve lived here for decades. But sometimes, it takes a fresh pair of eyes to truly notice them. Interestingly, many foreign YouTubers have captured the charm of Korea in ways that feel both refreshing and profound. Through their lens, Korea becomes something new, unfamiliar, and even more precious.
In recent years, creators from around the world have taken to YouTube to share their own unique perspectives on Korean culture. Whether it’s the local food, street life, traditional clothing, language, or the everyday warmth of its people, these creators uncover the beauty we Koreans often overlook simply because it’s so familiar to us.
In this post, I’ll introduce 15 YouTube channels run by foreigners currently living in Korea. These are not only inspiring for fellow seniors but are also deeply touching and insightful. I hope you’ll find new perspectives and perhaps even send some encouragement to these content creators. I personally follow many of these channels and truly enjoy the stories they share.
